A plate heat exchanger is a new type of high-efficiency heat exchanger composed of a series of metal sheets (heat exchange plate bundles) with a certain ripple shape and a frame. The heat transfer plate and sealing gasket form a plate bundle, with corner holes at the four corners of the heat transfer plate. The sealing gasket and heat transfer plate are installed in the frame between the fixed pressing plate and the movable pressing plate, and clamped with clamping bolts.
The corrugated plate not only increases the turbulence level of the fluid, but also reduces the thermal resistance of the liquid film. Using thin plates (0.5-0.8mm) significantly reduces heat transfer resistance, allowing the total heat transfer coefficient to reach up to 4000-6000W/(m2·K).
